THE MAD FIDDLER

Esta coleção de 12 poemas em inglês sob o título The Mad Fiddler foi escrita por Pessoa quando ele era jovem, entre 1915 e 1917. Luis Conceição e Jane Hennessy aceitaram o desafio de musicá-los e vêm compondo temas que refletem o espírito dos bardos celtas. O objetivo final é se conseguir produzir um CD com todos os 12.

This collection of twelve poems in English with the title The Mad Fiddler were written by Pessoa when he was young, between 1915 and 1917. Luis Conceição and Jane Hennessy accepted the challenge of setting them to music, whereas until now they mainly have been exploring the spirit of the Celtic bards. Their goal is to produce a CD with all twelve songs.

Jane Hennessy . Compositora e cantora

nasceu na Irlanda. Iniciou o seu trabalho de compositora e cantora com a idade de 12 anos e trabalhou nos mais diversos domínios musicais. Como cantora gravou vários “backing vocals” para produtores de música pop, vencedores de Grammy Awards. Interpretou a sua própria composição, ‘Dream Come True’ no festival eurovisão da canção na Irlanda, tendo ficado a sua composição em segundo lugar (apenas um ponto abaixo da vencedora). Hoje vive e trabalha como cantora profissional no Algarve.

Jane Hennessy. Composer and singer

was born in Ireland. She began her work as a songwriter and singer at the age of 12 and worked in various fields of music. As a singer, she has recorded several backing vocals for Grammy Award-winning pop music producers. She performed her own composition, ‘Dream Come True’ at the Eurovision song festival in Ireland, which was in second place (just one point below the winner). Today she lives and works as a professional singer in the Algarve.

Luís Conceição . Compositor E Pianista

concluiu o Curso de Piano. no Conservatório Regional do Algarve, licenciou-se em Ciências Musicais na Universidade Nova de Lisboa e em Piano na Universidade de Évora. Mestrado em Ensino do Piano no Instituto Piaget. É Diretor Pedagógico e Professor de Piano e História da Cultura e das Artes na Academia de Música de Tavira. Pianista e Compositor, tocou em salas nacionais e internacionais. Já compôs mais de 250 obras. O seu estilo é de fusão tendo afinidades com o Jazz, a Música Étnica a Erudita.

Luis Conceição . Composer and Pianist

completed the Piano Course. At the Algarve Regional Conservatory, he graduated in Music Sciences at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Piano at the University of Évora. Master in Piano Teaching at Piaget Institute. He is Pedagogical Director and Professor of Piano and History of Culture and Arts at the Tavira Academy of Music. Pianist and Composer, played in national and international rooms. He has composed over 250 works. His style is fusion having affinities with Jazz, Ethnic and Classical Music.
