Ou como disse Voltaire, “A Poesia é a Música da Alma”. O título deste projeto é inspirado por um questionamento do jornalista cultural e músico Carlos Bozzo Júnior, a propósito da definição de Voltaire e da gravação de canções de Caetano Veloso e Gal Costa sobre poemas de Fernando Pessoa: “Se a poesia é a música da alma, musicar poesia seria uma redundância?”

A Associação Rock da Baixa Mar, desde 2018, vem convidando diversos artistas algarvios a compor e interpretar novos temas musicais para poemas de Fernando Pessoa. À uma seleção dos temas compostos em 2018 por cinco músicos tavirenses juntar-se-ão:

Or as Voltaire said, “Poetry is the Music of the Soul.” The title of this project is inspired by a question by the cultural journalist and musician Carlos Bozzo Júnior about Voltaires definition and the recording of poems by Pessoa set to music by Caetano Veloso and Gal Costa: “If poetry is the music of the soul, to set poetry to music would be a redundancy? ”

Since 2018, the Rock da Baixa-Mar Association has invited several Algarvian artists to compose and interpret new musical themes set for poems by Fernando Pessoa. To a selection of the themes composed in 2018 by five local musicians, will be added others by different bands, presented by the composers themselves. Project Director: Stelmo Barbosa.
