A poesia é a emoção expressa em ritmo através do pensamento…. Musicar um poema é acentuar-lhe a emoção, reforçando-lhe o ritmo.

Ou como disse Voltaire, “A Poesia é a Música da Alma”. O título deste projeto é inspirado por um questionamento do jornalista cultural e músico Carlos Bozzo Júnior, a propósito da definição de Voltaire e da gravação de canções de Caetano Veloso e Gal Costa sobre poemas de Fernando Pessoa: “Se a poesia é a música da alma, musicar poesia seria uma redundância?”

Este evento vem, pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, enriquecendo o repertório musical Pessoano. Pretende-se assim, juntar uma coleção de canções que justifique gravar um CD com estes temas de compositores de Tavira.

Or as Voltaire said, “Poetry is the Music of the Soul.” The title of this project is inspired by a question by the cultural journalist and musician Carlos Bozzo Júnior about Voltaires definition and the recording of poems by Pessoa set to music by Caetano Veloso and Gal Costa: “If poetry is the music of the soul, to set poetry to music would be a redundancy? ”

This event has been, for the third consecutive year, enriching the “Pessoan” repertoire. It is intended, therefore, to collect a number of tunes that justifiy the recording of a CD with these themes by composers from Tavira.

Natural da cidade de Angola,

em Indiana, vive em Tavira desde criança. É músico e tem na flauta e na guitarra os seus instrumentos de eleição. É membro fundador da Associação Cultural Rock Da Baixa-Mar dedicada à promoção da música rock e apoio aos grupos musicais de Tavira, sendo ainda um dos promotores da Maré de Contos, festival de narração oral, sendo ainda um dos criadores e programadores do Festival Sérgio Mestre, com três edições já realizadas em Tavira.

Born in the city of Angola, in Indiana, has lived in Tavira since he was a child. He is also a musician, and his instruments of choice are the flute and the guitar. He is a founding member of the Associação Cultural Rock Da Baixa-Mar dedicated to the promotion of rock music and to support Tavira’s musical groups. The association is also one of the promoters of Maré De Contos, an oral narration festival, and is one of the creators and programmers of the Sérgio Festival. Mestre, with three editions already held in Tavira.
