MATTHIJS WARNER LEIJENAAR

Nascido em 1951 em Naarden, Holanda. Educação e experiência: Academia de Arte em Arnhem, Holanda. Desde 1970, realiza exposições na Holanda, França e Portugal. Durante 5 anos estudou budismo na Alemanha em França e na Holanda e durante dois anos estuda filosofia ao nível universitário. Estudou Advaita Vedanta, Panchadasi (Vedanta), em Tiruvannamalai, Índia. Vem trabalhando como artista visual independente e editor de arte moderna e contemporânea para uma plataforma de arte durante 15 anos;  Foi vice presidente da Associação Casa 5 em Tavira. Organiza desde 2007 exposições mensais de arte em Tavira, juntamente com Isabel Macieira. Mudou-se da Holanda para Portugal em 2007.

He studied Buddhism in Germany, France and the Netherlands for five years and took a philosophy at university level during two years. He studied Advaita Vedanta, Panchadasi (Vedanta), in Tiruvannamalai, India. He has been working as an independent visual artist and has been editor of a modern and contemporary art platform for 15 years. He was vice-president of the Association Casa 5 in Tavira. He has been organizing monthly art exhibitions in Tavira, with Isabel Macieira since 2007, when he moved from Holland to Portugal.
