Esta é uma oferta inter (disciplinar+cultural) ligando Arte, Matemática e Poesia. A comparação estabelece uma ponte à interiorização do conceito de beleza e enfatiza semelhanças. A citação “Um trabalho matemático é, para quem o sabe ler, o mesmo que um trecho musical para quem o sabe ouvir, um quadro para quem o sabe ver, uma ode para quem a sabe sentir”, de Gomes Teixeira, sintetiza o conteúdo da aula. George Pólya, matemático húngaro disse: A Matemática é a ciência mais barata… Todas as necessidades para a Matemática são um lápis e papel”. Sendo assim é mais fácil … haver mais gente que possa vir a dar pela beleza do Binómio de Newton … até em comparação com a Vénus de Milo”.

This is an interdisciplinary and intercultural event, linking Art, Mathematics and Poetry. The comparison establishes a bridge that enables the internalisation of the concept of beauty and emphasises similarities. The citation “Mathematical work is, for anyone who knows how to read it, the same as a passage of music for someone who knows how to listen, a painting for who knows how to look, an ode for someone who knows how to feel” of Gomes Teixeira synthesises the content of the lesson. To the Hungarian mathematician Georges Pólya: “Mathematics is the cheapest science… All it needs is a pencil and paper.” This makes even easier that more people can acknowledge the beauty of Newton’s binomial ….. even compared with the Venus de Milo”.
