O poeta Fernando Pessoa escreveu uma biografia para cada um dos heterónimos que criou, e Campos (1890) nasceu dois anos depois de Pessoa (1888), mas morreu no mesmo dia e ano de seu criador.  A razão pela qual a biblioteca municipal de Tavira tem o nome de Álvaro de Campos é ele ter “nascido” em Tavira.

Esta apresentação em inglês destina-se à comunidade anglófona, cujo conhecimento sobre Pessoa e seus heterónimos é limitado.

The poet Fernando Pessoa wrote a biography for each of his heteronyms, and Campos (1890) was born two years after Pessoa (1888), but died on the same day and in the same year as his creator.  The reason behind the name of the Municipal Library in Tavira is because Álvaro de Campos was born in the town.

This presentation in English is aimed at Anglophones whose knowledge of the work of Pessoa and his heteronyms is limited.
