Pessoa at Artesis: CALL FOR ARTISTS – CONVOCATÓRIA ‘Desassossego’

ARTESIS Galeria’s annual art exhibition in association with the FESTA DOS ANOS DE ÁLVARO DE CAMPOS is scheduled to run from the beginning of the FESTA and through November 13th. Submissions of artwork are requested from artists living in the East Algarve area.  Last year's exhibition attracted work by 25 different artists.  ARTESIS’ annual event helps to promote Pessoa to the foreign community in Tavira.

A exposição anual da Artesis Galeria, em associação com a FESTA DOS ANOS DE ÁLVAOR DE CAMPOS decorrerá desde o começo da FESTA e até 13 de Novembro. Aceitamos propostas de participação de artistas residentes no sotavento Algarvio. A exposição de 2021 contou com 25 participantes. A Artesis usa esta exposição para promover Fernando Pessoa junto da comunidade estrangeira residente em Tavira.

We have taken this year’s theme ’Desassossego’ from the title of the much acclaimed book that Pessoa wrote but didn’t publish in his lifetime: The ‘Book of Disquiet’.(Livro de Desassossego)

O tema deste ano, Desassossego, vem do título do aclamado Livro do Desassossego que Pessoa escreveu mas não publicou durante sua vida.

There are many ways for artists to interpret this theme, from the literal connections in the book to the sense of the word itself. ARTESIS looks forward to artists’ varied interpretations.

Há muitas maneiras dos artistas interpretarem este tema, desde as conecções literais com o livro, até ao sentido literal da própria  palavra. A ARTESIS aguarda pelas várias interpretações dos artistas.

Expressions of interest are requested by the end of August, and photos of work required by the end of September.

Manifestações de interesse na participação devem ser entregues até finais de Agosto e as obras a expôr, até finais de Setembro.
